We’ve demanded for freedom of speech, freedom to spur creativity and yet when something against the norm comes out of the thin air, we are the very same people to be act petty over it. I seriously don’t get it. I seriously do not see anything wrong with National Geographic initiatives to create awareness for the public over its new programme “Every Singaporean Son 2″. I think National Geographic did us a favour doing so!

And i agree with that Facebook comment that it is nothing wrong. Getting so uptight over it. For those who served in national service AND WAS IN THE ARMY, you know we had turns to command our section our platoon for breakfast or during breaks and had a good laugh at it at times when someone gives the wrong command or with a funny accent!

For those who have negatively responded to the initiatives by National Geographic, i think it is about time you loosen up a bit, take a deep breathe and jump into the pool and cool it off. See it on a wider angle. It is already rare to see such initiatives done to recognize the efforts of our servicemen, what is commonly rare that this time round the initiatives does not involve women in clad outfit to gain your attentions – maybe that is why you are so upset about it instead?

National Geographic has done an initiative from where i see is interactive and naturally attract the common people’s attention and kudos to them for such an effort.
